Hoffmann sich als Protesttext gegen die Binarit\u00e4t, das Patriarchat und die b\u00fcrgerliche Erziehung erweisen l\u00e4sst. Mit einem queeren Blick kann gelesen werden, wie das fremde (oder queere) Kind, das als Figur mit einer nicht konformen Geschlechtsidentit\u00e4t dargestellt wird, den Prozess einer heteronormativit\u00e4tskritischen Umerziehung f\u00fchrt. Es zeigt dem Geschwisterpaar Felix und Christlieb, wie sie sich gegen Dichotomien auflehnen und irgendwo zwischen Natur und Kultur, Realit\u00e4t und Phantasie, Gut und B\u00f6se positionieren k\u00f6nnen. Mit diesem M\u00e4rchen sollte man erkennen, dass eine perfekte Unterscheidung zwischen Gegensatzpaaren illusorisch ist, dass man mit der M\u00f6glichkeit des Dazwischenseins zurechtkommen sollte. Au\u00dferdem hinterfragt das M\u00e4rchen die heteronormative Ordnung durch die symmetrische Konfigurierung der R\u00e4ume, die den Bereich des Menschen als Grenzlinie veranschaulicht und die Herrschaftsform des Matriarchats dem kapitalistischen und kolonialisierenden Patriarchat gegen\u00fcberstellt. Der Vortrag basiert auf einem Kapitel aus dem Dissertationsprojekt <em>Romantik Queer Lesen<\/em>, das darauf abzielt, einen antinormativen Blick auf die literarische Str\u00f6mung der deutschen Romantik zu werfen. Wie kann man die Optionen des queeren Schreibens und Lesens in ihrem Zusammenhang theoretisch beschreiben? Wichtig ist, dass nicht nur zwischen den empirischen und den impliziten Leser*innen, sondern auch zwischen den Autor*innen und den jeweils von ihnen im Text eingesetzen Erz\u00e4hlinstanzen unterschieden wird. Au\u00dferdem ist nicht nur zwischen heteronormativen und queeren Positionen zu unterscheiden, sondern letztere sind noch einmal in implizite und explizite queere Positionen aufzuteilen. Dabei geht sie davon aus, dass mit der Autonomen Frauenbewegung eine kulturgeschichtliche Affirmation des verworfenen K\u00f6rpers beginnt, die sich bis in die Gegenwart fortsetzt. Der verworfene \u2013 kranke, kontrolllose, versehrte, ekelhafte \u2013 K\u00f6rper wird im Zuge zunehmender Rationalit\u00e4tskritiken zum Ort des Widerstands. Von 1872 bis 1994 stellte der Paragraf 175 StGB im deutschen Raum homosexuelle Handlungen unter Strafe. Die Kriminalisierung und Stigmatisierung gleichgeschlechtlich liebender und gender-nonkonformer Menschen f\u00fchrte dazu, dass sich kommunikative Netzwerke unter dem Radar der Mehrheitsgesellschaft bildeten. Mediale Infrastrukturen erm\u00f6glichten die \u00f6ffentliche Zirkulation kleiner queerer Formen und erforderten gleichzeitig Taktiken der Verschleierung, um der Zensur zu entgehen.
