Freundschaftlich verbunden war sie nicht nur mit den Geschwistern Erika und Klaus Mann, wovon die erhaltenen Briefe Schwarzenbachs an sie zeugen, sondern auch mit Ruth Landshoff-Yorck, Karl Vollmoeller, Dorothea \u201eMopsa\u201c Sternheim, Ella Maillart, Carson McCullers, Marianne Breslauer und vielen anderen. So fuhr sie gemeinsam mit Ella Maillart mit dem Auto von Genf \u00fcber Istanbul bis nach Kabul. Beide dokumentierten die Reise. Der Prosatext ist in drei Teile gegliedert und weist eine N\u00e4he zu lyrischen Darstellungsweisen auf. Eine geschlechtlich unmarkierte Erz\u00e4hlinstanz wendet sich an ein Du, das das Ich an die biblische Ruth erinnert. Mit dem Namen Ruth verbindet das Ich \u201eWildheit\u201c, \u201eFr\u00f6mmigkeit\u201c und \u201eeine gro\u00dfe Strenge\u201c. Zun\u00e4chst ist die unbestimmte Sehnsucht des Ich matt und hoffnungslos; doch dann weckt der Name Ruth im Ich \u201eFr\u00f6mmigkeit und Leidenschaft\u201c, weshalb das Ich die Sehnsucht fortan Ruth nennt. Der kurze Text evoziert eine Sehnsucht, deren Objekt zwischen der biblischen Ruth und einer anderen Frau changiert und die von einer Affinit\u00e4t zum Fremden und Anderen gepr\u00e4gt ist. Diese Vieldeutigkeit macht den Text f\u00fcr eine queere Lekt\u00fcre besonders fruchtbar.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Die queere Beispiellekt\u00fcre zu Schwarzenbachs Prosast\u00fcck bietet f\u00fcnf
